Business: MHN supported the client throughout the product development cycle, from providing initial feasibility and cost assessments, to building a proof of concept prototype. The current version of the application is a result of further development based on intensive user-based testing and customer feedback. MHN continues to work closely with the client to provide further product development support.
Technology: iTravelTrack is written in the Lift framework in the Scala programming language. Through the use of this powerful functional and object oriented programming language, the code base is both succinct and efficient. The site provides mapping using the ESRI JavaScript mapping API, provides up to date FCO travel risk information, allows checkins through text or online and allows itineraries to be exported to csv, ical and kml (mapping) formats.
